What It Is
SLU-PP-332 is an experimental pan-ERR agonist developed at Saint Louis University and studied as an exercise mimetic. We sold it as an oral capsule. We no longer do, because the group that developed the molecule has since reported that it lacks oral bioavailability.
How It Works
Activating ERR switches on a slice of the gene program muscle runs during aerobic exercise: mitochondrial biogenesis, fat oxidation, endurance capacity. That is the mouse result, and in those studies the compound was injected. An oral capsule has to survive the gut and a pass through the liver before any of it reaches muscle, and the published work says SLU-PP-332 does not.

- No. We retired SLU-PP-332 and the SLU-PP-332/BAM-15 capsule on September 20, 2026. In 2025 the research group that created the molecule reported that SLU-PP-332 improves aerobic performance in mice but lacks oral bioavailability, which is why they went on to develop a chemically different, orally bioavailable compound. Both of our SLU-PP-332 products were oral capsules, so we retired them.
- What is SLU-PP-332?
- SLU-PP-332 is an orphan-receptor (ERR) pan-agonist developed at Saint Louis University and studied as an exercise mimetic. In mice it produced some of the metabolic effects of training: improved fatty-acid oxidation, mitochondrial biogenesis, better insulin sensitivity, increased endurance. Those studies dosed it by injection. It has never been tested in a human clinical trial.
- Why does the route of administration matter so much?
- A swallowed drug does not go straight into the bloodstream. It has to survive the gut and then pass through the liver before it reaches the rest of the body, and the liver can clear most of a dose on that first pass. A compound can work exactly as designed in a petri dish and in an injected mouse, and still deliver almost nothing when you swallow it. That is the gap SLU-PP-332 fell into.
- I already took SLU-PP-332. Should I be worried?
